Wilmer Gibson Appoints the New Head of International Alternative Fixed Income Department
Jeremy Lum will be the international Head of Alternative Fixed Income Department, as part of the firm’s long-term development plan
Wilmer Gibson, a leading financial services firm providing world-class wealth management services, today announced the appointment of Jeremy Lum as Head of Alternative Fixed Income Department, overseeing the investment teams with customers outside of Singapore. Mr. Lum’s appointment is the most recent in a series of senior level hires as Wilmer Gibson continues its expansion plans.
He will be responsible for growing Wilmer Gibson’s international investment effectiveness and developing innovative strategies in areas such as global alternative fixed income to accelerate the firm’s ambitious plan of becoming a leading asset manager. Jeremy Lum joins Wilmer Gibson from a major firm in Hong Kong where he was Head of Fixed Income Department for the Asian markets. Under his leadership, the team won a number of renowned awards in the Asian fixed income space and became known for their strong performance in pan-Asian bonds.
A veteran with exceptional expertise and unique experience in the fixed income markets, Mr. Lum graduated the Kyoto University where he earned his MBA and moved to Hong Kong where he managed fixed income portfolios on behalf of insurance companies and asset managers. Furthering his career, he co-founded his own investment advisory firm, which was later sold to a company that has more than US$1.2 billion under management after many years in the industry.
